[1] Today, we've got an exclusive first look at the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, as well as news on its upgrades. So hit subscribe now, and we'll get right into it.

[2] It hasn't been long since the predecessor launched, and then we just saw the special edition with larger displays in a thinner shell.
-
3
[3] But thanks to information provided by a source who wants to remain anonymous, we've now got plenty of information about the Z Fold 7.
-
4
[4] It seems there were a few prototypes for the design, but according to the source, Samsung will be keeping the design quite similar to what it is now, with just a slight change to the form factor.
-
5
[5] The S series is switching to a more rounded design, but it looks like the Fold is going to remain with a squared-off design. I think this is a good move, as it differentiates the two models from each other, and it leaves the S phones to take their market.

6
[6] The larger Samsungs have always remained a bit more squared off, we used to see this with the Note before it was discontinued.
-
7
[7] AI is still going to play a huge part in terms of promotion for the Z Fold 7, and Samsung is continuing to add AI features.
-
8
[8] But there's a very good chance that the launch of the Z Fold 7 is where we're going to start seeing the paid subscription model for AI that Samsung has already warned us about.
-
9
[9] Now, the phone is going to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, and it's expected to come with 16GB of RAM in the usual storage configurations.
-
10
[10] But the biggest change with the Z Fold 7 is going to be in the cameras. For the first time ever, we're going to see under-display cameras on the cover display as well as the folding internal display, thanks to improvements in under-panel technology.

11
[11] It's reported that they are now good enough for Face Unlock, video calls, and of course, very high-resolution selfies, the kind you'd maybe put on Instagram. You can still use the external rear camera.
-
12
[12] For the rear cameras, it's going to use the same setup as the S25 Plus, which is launching in January. And it's made up of a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide, and a 10MP telephoto, so pretty much a similar setup to last year. However, there are going to be some improvements to both the ultra-wide and telephoto.

[13] Another big upgrade with the Z Fold 7, as always, is the display. While it will be a brighter and more accurate display on both the cover and the internal display, the biggest change is going to be with the fold.
